fishfight
Anyone uses Neoprene waders during winter months while fishing whirlpool? Would it not be too warm after the hike down or up? I normally just layer my outfit while fishing at whirlpool with some waterproof boots, but witness others wearing waders. I used a hip waders during warmer weather. DaveC
Cant stand Neoprene waders, for that reason only. Useless to do any sort of hiking in. I wear my breathables all year long, but I imagine hiking any distance that's going to make you sweat too much is going to be uncomfortable. Floatation suits are a good option for the winter. staffman
I would not be wading at the whirlpool in any sort of waders.
DaveC
I agree...no need to be wading there. I wear mine just to keep clean and stay dry. If i happen to put a foot in the water it would only be in a spot with a gradual shoreline decline. A net is the best option and staying out of the water. Lund-SS
I wear mine all the time down there, they keep me clean, dry, warm and break the wind. Also the way the water is up and down all the time I could be on dry land one minute and knee deep the next
