gunner-2 Posted July 19, 2015 Report Share Posted July 19, 2015 hit the welland river this morning and about 6:30 the fun started but i forgot my net so had to make do lost my first fish when i tried to land it pulled the hook the second fish same thing then after that i figured out how to land them lol by grabbing the bottom lip and the tail fish one second fish i tried fishing deep with no luck then remembered reading that carp come to the shallow water at night and morning and i can see the swirl so fished 5 feet from shore 2 feet of water had a blast un till the wind picked up then things died off carping is on again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

gunner-2 Posted July 20, 2015 Author Report Share Posted July 20, 2015 good luck Y.Y i was using corn right off shore i found that after 10:00 am they stopped biting going to try again this week at night around 6:00pm as they come back to the shore line but finely had a good time with these hogs they don't look like it in the pics but there were big fish the carp that pulled the hook might of hit close to 20lb.
