2016 Canadian Tire Lake Erie Open

The St.Catharines Bassmasters are proud to announce that Canadian Tire will be back as the title sponsor for the 2016 Canadian Tire Lake Erie Open. The tournament date is now set for Saturday October 8th, 2016. Canadian Tire is dedicated to keeping this as a tournament for the anglers so the $220 entry fee will remain unchanged along with the maximum of 75 boats for the 2016 event. The organization for the 2016 event is already underway and promises to be even better than 2015. Teams who fished the 2015 event will be given first chance to register for 2016. Registration will be open to the 75 teams who competed in 2015 from February 1st – March 1st, 2016. On March 2nd, 2016 the general registration will be opened to the public. The 2015 Champions Simon and Melanie Frost will have the number one blast off position reserved. All other teams will have blast off order assigned in the order which the entry form and payment are received. The entry form and further details will be released in late January 2016.

With the world class fishery that Lake Erie and the Upper Niagara River have to offer, we anticipate another full field in 2016 with great paybacks and unique incentives offered to competing anglers. As many teams were on a waiting list for 2015 we encourage all teams to get registered as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Official Pre-Registration opens February 1st thru March 1st, 2016 – To all teams who participated in the 2015 event.
A draw for blast off positions will be held on February 2nd for all teams who get their entry form and payment in (on or before Feb 1st).
Starting February 2nd until March 1st team numbers will be assigned in the order that they are received.

March 2nd, 2016 – Official Registration will be opened to the public and team numbers assigned in the order that they are received.

All teams entered before June 1st will be eligible for an Early Bird draw for a $200.00 Canadian Tire Gift Card! Draw location and details to be announced.
