tombo
Is there a set schedule for when the levels come up or down? Of the 4 times Ive been to the whirlpool in the last 2 weeks the water has been in the trees 3 times.I would guess levels are low when they fill the hydro resovoir.... Ven-Pisc-ator
The water rise and fall like that is due to power generation cycles, when more power is required, more water is released through the generating turbines; as power consumption decreases, the water is trimmed, meaning less water through the turbines and subsequently lower water levels. This is only the power side of the fluctuation water levels. There may also be other factors, such as water storage capacity and rain fall. The rain fall would be more tied to weather that a daily cyclic flows
tombo
Ok, bin checking levels by the chart and it doesnt seem to be very accurate. According to the chart, mon and tues am was lower than wed by a metre. Was at the whirlpool yesterday am, and everybody says yesterday was the lowest. Anybody have any insight as to why it would be off?
