corsara
Hello. Got a question for the people more experienced with fishing the Niagara river, more especially the lower parts running through the Gorge. When the weather forecast promises high winds with 50+ km/h gusts (I'm checking Niagara-on-the-Lake weather forecast), is it also that bad down in the gorge? Or is it somewhat calmer...or worse? Thanks in advance, this will be very helpful to know. If winds are so strong down by the river as well, I'm afraid casting will be extremely difficult if not impossible. Derek0291
Its not very enjoyable fishing down there when the winds are that strong. 30km/h is more or less my limit.

corsara
So I went down on the river today. Zero wind! The way I can explain this is forecast was calling for wind coming from the West. Us being on the Canadian side, wind just blows over the Gorge. I think.
