rick
There should be a 24 hour Family Guy channel. Any way, I need the real poop on this direct tv thing. I inquired at a few recommended shops and was told that they don't get them anymore. I also heard from a few guys at work that if I don't already have a system, it's not worth spending the bucks on one now as they are starting to figure out how to block the signals for those without subscriptions and they will do it soon. Now I hear a judge in Canada says there is nothing wrong with getting the signal here. So now i'm a little confused as to whether to persue a system or not. Any opinions?? rick
dohlegal = pulling signals down BUT sending them $$ illegal would be the pulling signals out of the air and sending noone your $ 2658[/snapback] But once again, there was a ruling a few weeks ago in Quebec that says Canadians are doing nothing wrong by watching these signals. So now i'm left wondering if the law is being broken or not.
Guest IBC
i know, my understanding was that to make it legal you needed to have some form of payment being sent out to the company
Guest Gill Finigan
It's semi legal if there is such a thing. The Quebec ruling has a hold period before it comes into full affect and it will be appealed for sure. What places are doing is getting a direct tv subscription. You can have up to 6 recievers on the same account. They then get 6 people to pay between $100-150 for three months. Divide the subs up. Everyone gets there TV and the company makes there cut. So it's fraud because all recievers are not owned buy or in the home of the subscriber. Was a lot simpler when you could just hack the card and was legal to do so here. Other choice is the FTA systems which get Bell and Dishnet. They go down once in a while but you get all PPV's wide open
