Guest ricoboxing
finally bought ice fishing stuff this year and decided to try for the first time. there is no bait being sold at valens had to settle for berkely power grubs and maggots. started off jigging for some bluegills but no luck so i switched to a rapala vert. jig for some pikes and to my surprise pulled out this. snapped a few pics and back she went. t only fished for about 2 hours but still had fun on my first ice fishing trip. hope to try scugog next saturday. the ice was 6.5 inches thick but kind of got scared when i kept hearing it crack and feeling it move. i guess those cracking noises are normal though. Guest salmon
Valens must have sold out of bait. They were buying two pounds of crappie size minnows last week. I am sure they will get more. Lots of ice locally.Good groups of guys out on Little and Puslinch Lake as well.
Guest old guy
Went to Valens on Monday and caught 40 Bluegill. It was a great day with 7 inches of ice and sunny skies For some reason I cant post a pic of the fish we caught.
