Ya I've Got miles of OPEN WATER out off Jackson's Pt /Willow Beach Never bothered to go as It is truly My belief that the ice is not safe .. and there should be a large fine for having to be rescued from out there !!!! Don't go life is worth more than fishing .. I for one don't want to read about anybody sleeping with the fishes .. It Happens every year ... Mike Pike Posted January 1, 2005 Report Share Posted January 1, 2005 I was out at Barrie Marina this morning and I'll definately will wait til that ice thickens up before going back. Lots of open water spots. Even got a bit of a soaker myself! The only way to get onto the docks is by going onto the ice for a bit and with the ice being so weak and with the open water, I'm not gonna chance it. Play safe y'all!
