RoeBaggin
Has anyone been down to the whirlpool lately? Any fish? Water clarity? I imagine it is slow due to the cold weather and windy days but I thought I would put out the feelers to see how the action was(if any). RoeBaggin
Probably a couple of weeks till she clears. Last year I was fishing it with warm temps. LOL Do you guys think the cold temps for this time of years will stall the spawn?
T.Barry
I've already caught 4 loose females and this was going back over two weeks ago. My buddy was out guiding from the boat last week and hit two loose fish that day, so if anything I would say the fish are spawning earlier this year?? Kind of weird because the water was only 32-33 degrees the days I got my loose fish.
jwl
I find over many years of fishing trout on the river, that the steelies can spawn at a couple different times of the year, there are different strains of steelies in there from years of stocking programs, along with natural fish, i have caught them fall, and spring that are spawners
snoryder
Nothing loose for me, most of the hens I've caught have been tight.
