  1. Dunnville Decoy Show FLyer jpg.png

We are excited to announce the Dunnville Decoy Show will be held Sunday Sept. 10, 2023 at the Dunnville Farmer's Market. The show will feature:

    • Private collections of classic and modern hand carved Dunnville Decoys
    • Carvers selling decoys
    • Collectible/Classic Decoy Vendors

More info on the flyer, one day only and $5. All proceeds to benefit the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation. We are focusing on the "Dunnville" originating decoys but will also have decoys from the surrounding areas and are welcome to all.

Please get in touch if you are interested in reserving a table or helping out.

  2. The Conservation Authority is forming a new committee to review the management plan and provide guidance and strategies for the Wainfleet Bog moving forward.

The Bog is a great hunting resource and it is important that some hunters apply to voice their concerns. I can't apply due to a work conflict otherwise I would be all over it.

  3. I've been carving for a few years and want to connect with other decoy carvers to improve our skills and encourage hunting over carved blocks here in Southern Ontario.

Saturday February 19th I will be in my garage from 12 - 4 working on decoys. If anyone wants to stop by for an hour or two and let chips fly or talk shop please send me a message. I ask that you RSVP with a private message and I'll provide the address and make sure we have enough space to meet any COVID rules.
    All skill levels welcome!

  4. Looks like a pond to help control the stormwater from the parking lot. Ponds like that, and most man made ponds, need to be cleaned out occasionally. Otherwise they fill in completely with sediment and serve no function. Some storm water ponds are also regulated by the ministry of environment which state how often they need to be cleaned out in order to still work.

As it was man made to start with, I would assume that in a couple years it will get back to that "naturalized" look.
