Hi Denise,
My contact information is on the flyer or feel free to message me here.
The show is this Sunday - we are sold out of vendor space and are expecting a good turnout for this first time event. Looking forward to seeing everyone out!
thanks

8 hours ago, verado said:A guy I know just told me that “Hippo’s “at Mohawk Bay is gone. Washed away in the storm . Can anyone confirm this?
That is false, hippos is very much still there. The kitchen is now a mobile trailer, and the owners pull it across the road to higher ground in the Fall.

Yes, good eye. The black duck pictured is a Ken Anger decoy from his earlier days. The pair of teal were done by Cene Green.

Any extra concerns about theft? I had heard that the app gives you the option to shut the camera down if it goes offline. Has anyone had any experience with that? I hunt private bush and still use the cheapest cameras I can because a couple seem to always grow legs....

The Conservation Authority is forming a new committee to review the management plan and provide guidance and strategies for the Wainfleet Bog moving forward.
The Bog is a great hunting resource and it is important that some hunters apply to voice their concerns. I can't apply due to a work conflict otherwise I would be all over it.

I've been carving for a few years and want to connect with other decoy carvers to improve our skills and encourage hunting over carved blocks here in Southern Ontario.Saturday February 19th I will be in my garage from 12 - 4 working on decoys. If anyone wants to stop by for an hour or two and let chips fly or talk shop please send me a message. I ask that you RSVP with a private message and I'll provide the address and make sure we have enough space to meet any COVID rules. All skill levels welcome!

Looks like a pond to help control the stormwater from the parking lot. Ponds like that, and most man made ponds, need to be cleaned out occasionally. Otherwise they fill in completely with sediment and serve no function. Some storm water ponds are also regulated by the ministry of environment which state how often they need to be cleaned out in order to still work.
As it was man made to start with, I would assume that in a couple years it will get back to that "naturalized" look.
