  1. Thanks Gil If I go again I'll be launching at Crystal Beach, they have that stupid app pay thing at Colbourne. It was free till the 15th at colbourne.
  2. I launched at Port Colbourne, buddy and myself fished 2 spots, the last spot was 62 fow infront of Abino we took home 85 nice ones.
  3. Stelco Fishing Club, Dofasco Angling Club and The Golden Horseshoe Outdoors Club. The Stelco club keeps me busy with arranging meetings and memberships. Our annual Awards night is this Friday held at the Stoney Creek Legion. Being retired it keeps me busy and trying to get a few days in fishing.😃
  4. Thanks for posting Bill, I'll forward this on at our club meetings.
  5. One not on your list of passed baits was Soft Shelled Crabs. Funny you mention Bill about the Yellow Sally, that was my dad's favorite bait fishing Erie Pickeral out of Port Maitland and rented a steel boat there From Clays Bait and boat rentals and he sold Snapping Turtles to people that ate them. 👍😃 OOOHHH the Good Old Days.👍😃
  6. Thanks Tyler I'm kinda thinking tomorrow or Wednesday, all depends on the wind direction. Want to get the boat in for the first time this year with my new motor.
  7. Got my ticket yesterday at Bill's Bait plus a couple Penn Warfare counter reels he had on sale. Great deal.
  8. Thanks Mark Be nice if 50 Pt. would open to launch so we could fish this end of the lake.👍 Wonder if Forans is open now.
  9. Thanks for sharing the videos, very interesting.
  10. Had Helix 7 GPS and DI, tried using the DI display and turned it off, found it was a gimmick.🙈 It still works OK but fishing 10 to 13 Hour days the screen was melting in the sun, they say it's because using lighter Gage wire. Was at a seminar and found out the most important thing is use 8 Gage wire direct from the battery and as short as possible. Now I have a Helix 9 sonar with GPS has 2 Micro card slots for Navionics and LakeMaster cards, that's all you need. Don't get hung up on the Bells and whistles. I found the Humminbirds very user friendly, you can turn off a lot of those display screens. But that's my opinion, got lots of money, buy those bells&whistles.👍😀
  11. Thanks Bill Was a little less people this year I think because they called for rain but still a good turnout. They don't sell minnows there, I picked mine up the night before at Bill's Bait. If i'm still above the Sod next year I'll post it on here if it's OK with the Mods. I know what you mean about Facebook👍
  12. Thanks guys, it was posted in the area tackle shops and they where selling tickets, Only $10.00 entry fee. I'll have to tell Harvey to get it posted on a few of the sites, it was all over on Facebook. Spiel you should have came out, dropped over a 100 of it at Mustangs.😄
  13. Golden Horseshoe Outdoors Club Perch fishing derby results held at 50 Pt. 1st was $891 2nd $415 3rd $297 4th $200 5th $105 50/50 was $585 In all 213 fishers .
  14. Thanks Surf N Turf Still tossing it around to go to Crystal or Maitland tomorrow. If Maitland I'd be going right back where I was catching the other day just inside the far finger on those humps. Trolling back and forth in the 65 to 75 FOW, had my best luck on the Dipsys, only caught a few on the riggers ?????. If no luck may head out deeper.
  15. The boat launch at Crystal beach, does it have the stupid system as the Sugarloaf, a must have permit done on your cell phone credit card thing. Machine at Crystal is great for us older not so Tec savvy 👍🤔🙂
