If you can bring your kayak, go to Bronte Harbour with your spoon or J13. It's prime time there now.
I hardly skunked at sunrise and sunset time.
From the end of September, all the shoreline including Jordan harbour, Port Dalhousie, and Niagara river is prime time. After mid October through November, you will meet zombie salmons which is not enjoyable to hook.

Annual family trip for the colours and a lil fishing. Had trouble finding any wallies but the perch and bass were hungry

Funny thing about the eel ...I was talking to 2 elderly life time residents of Port Dalhousie who were walking their dog and one lady mentioned about the big eels caught there back in the 50's . some of those eels migrated way up into Short Hills . That's when the canal was open at Port , where eels could easily take the canal route or the four small "step" falls that ran beside the old "Rubber" factory as seen on the 1920 map . We had a ball there catching silvers every cast !
Got this picture in my Picasa Files ...had to add more contrast ...then snip it...As you can see there was a much greater volume of water at the 4 Falls &  "Lincoln Fabrics' had another building where we fished right beside it . At the base of the "Step Falls" we caught the silvers every June .  The water there was nothing but sewage , don't know how fish lived in it ...plenty of cats and carp and eels ......

A scrappy 20lb female from the WP today.

I fought a gigantic male for 15min and brought him to my feet but he was too big for the net and spit the lure while I tried to net him.  The largest fish of my life.  Another fish story ....
