I've done 24" of ice with a dull 8" auger through frozen shift ice only to find about a foot of water underneath. Caught a small rainbow

Pelham. Vansickle used to go right through but they've closed that rd so there's a slight drive around the block.

try the very end of Vansickle rd. Fish light and with tiny baits. Watch out for snapping turtles

HC is hammercarp. Lake Gibson is great for carp. Try behind Brock or even near the bridge on Decew.
