Pope29
While vacationing on the north shore of Huron recently I was amazed at the loss of water on the lake. It was making docks and waterways unusable. Now it appears it is happening in Superior also. As a kid and mostly as a teen I was fortunate to spend many days and nights on this lake and it upsets me to think some of my favourite spots are probably changed beyond recognition now. http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/science/08/03...e.ap/index.html
bigugli
It's unfortunate but true. Changes in weather play a big part in this. Increased temperatures and less rainfall are 2 culprits. Then there 's the increased draw on fresh water by some states. If freeze over is shortened by a month one loses up to 1 inch from cold air evaporation.
