I have to admit Jack....that the proof of what you preach is always in your pics.

My top 10?

No favourites.

Whether it be a perch or other, as long as it puts a smile on your face....

Although....I do think a very large pike or muskie would surely change my tune.

Well , it's tough to top that post JW ......but since I'm a little off center , I have to admit I like to catch the odd balls .........like (in alfa.order) .....

1. blue channel cats.....bigugli  wide eyed monsters

2. dog fish ....tough as nails

3. eels.....big fat ones ( very absent these days)

4. gar......prehistoric armor plated mouth full of needle sharp teeth... fight like a bonefish

5. ling......as ugly as ugly gets but tastey as shrimp

6. sheephead (drum).....the 10 lb.+ will peel line out like a king salmon

7. sturgeon ......another strange beast from the dinosaur days

These fish are usually incidental catches , but make fishing more interesting . I hate hooking a mudpuppy , usually just cut the hook off if it's a little too far down the hatch . But my most targeted fish for the table are , crappie , perch , pike ,smelt , & walleye . Small brookies are the fillet mignon of the trouties & auroras are the rarest of the breed .And a good scrap with a carp now & then adds a touch of excitement to the day .
