steellee
I know we had some good winds today but I didn't pay to much attention to the direction or anything. How do you think the water will be for saturday morning. I might night fish into saturday morn. but have to decide by tomorrow morn to take the day off work. I like the water to be really clear if I am going to be tossin flutters in the dark. Last week with maybe 3 ft vis we didn't do anywhere near as well as usual but when the boats came up in the morning they were hookin up on the skein I noticed, and its rare I watch them outfish us on shore for the first hour or so of light we stay. Anyone have any opinions based on the wind direction or speed on how it will be. Thanks for any help

Smokin Joe
I'm not sure where you're fishing but the wind seemed to be typically from the south.
smerchly
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/index.php...necode=CAON0779 This marine reports west winds of only 10K by morning..... hope it's accurate . Those SW gust today would stir up L.Erie & make it's way through the system tomorrow causing poorer visability on the River & to some extent , Port Dalhousie . It was semi-clear at Port today . steellee
im not to sure, but what is skein? Salmon roe that is fished in chunks not loose eggs tied in bags. IT works great when the water has any color to it but I would rather have the catch the night bite with spoons while they will still take one

So the winds today were from the southwest thats not good. I do my best night fishing when water is at its clearest but I will probably end up going anyway
