canadianfcat
I've got a back-up Shimano Symetre that has a "heavy" feel to it when you reel it and clicks really loud. I think it needs a cleaning and something is set wrong. Any suggestions and rough prices?
ogliq2
I've had reels fixed thru Erie Tracker, but they send them out, and you may have to wait a couple weeks...

smerchly
Be like Red Green use lots of duct tape. Duct tape can be a fishermans friend Eric.....we always take a roll on fishing trips . We have used it many times to fix a torn shirt or a knife cut to keep the wound closed up , etc etc etc... There are so many different kinds of reels these days ,I don't know how they find the parts to fix them . My Sahara 2000 was getting tight to reel in the heat on sunny days ,so I opened up the main gear box & added more lithium grease....seems ok now .If you call a local tackle shop , they should have contacts with reel repair shops. There might be a switch on the side that says "bait clicker" or something of that sort. it is used to indicate a fish biting it clicks when reeling in and when line goes out.
