captnn
I could be wrong but I thought that you could not transport minnows north of highway 401. Has this regulation changed?

dave524
I could be wrong but I thought that you could not transport minnows north of highway 401. Has this regulation changed? It is my understanding as an individual you can but commercial bait dealers can't.
bigugli
It is my understanding as an individual you can but commercial bait dealers can't. The law was written for the bait dealers. The MNR realized it was impossible to enforce with the individual angler. That said, anglers are urged not to bring Great Lakes minnows out of their natural area. If you do take them north, you really are no better than the foreign ships bringing invasive species to our waters. You are spreading the problem.
