nittro
Port Dalhousie receives an annual stocking of 25,000 yearling brown trout. This year was a banner year for size and quality. Glenn Gately displaying a sample dip of browns Never too old to enjoy a delivery Express delivery What's not to smile about These are big! Now for the second tank The second batch seem larger! Even Glenn takes a photo Notice there are no birds! Always hard at work

nittro
For those that might be interested in viewing the stocking, I will post the ETA for the Rainbows and Kings when confirmed. The browns were only a few hours away when I got word they were on their way. The 25,000 bows will be yearlings also. We expect the 20,000 Kings for the pens April 11th, but that has to be confirmed. It's a treat to bring the youngsters to see 80,000 kings being stocked later in the month. The 2010 fry are larger than last year's due to a change in feed. smerchly
Grrreat photos Nittro ! Thanks for posting them , it's a great place to stock fish and now we know it's a great place to pen fish for imprinting . The cormorants are scarce this time of year , only saw one a few days ago above the dam , seemed to be feeding on smelts or shiners . What was the water temp. in the harbour ?
