Another saltie recipe

Was out fishn this morning and as usual came back with a whack of minnows left over.

Being frugal(read cheap) brought them home to make salties out of them :blush: Tried this recipe before and its about the BEST method I've found. Real easy to do (must be if even I can do it) :worthy:

Oh yeah perch were active at Port Dover----not a lot but some real good size ones in the mix :worthy:

cool post i am gonna try that, i was planning on freezing my creek chubs in water, you think that will keep them intact?

If you try to freeze whole chubs in water I think they would go mushy after awhile when they thaw out.

That saltie recipe can be adjusted to handle larger minnows as well.

I find the best ones this year for are salties made from sea salt caught my biggest crappies this year on them

Those salted minnows look good enough to eat Gord.......how do they taste as is , or on the kabob rod ? :)

I will try your "recipe" soon since there are tons of them coming in fatten up the local fish . Thanks for the tip Gord !
