packrat
Was out fishn this morning and as usual came back with a whack of minnows left over. Being frugal(read cheap) brought them home to make salties out of them Tried this recipe before and its about the BEST method I've found. Real easy to do (must be if even I can do it) http://www.lakemichiganangler.com/tips/gen...ted_minnows.htm Oh yeah perch were active at Port Dover----not a lot but some real good size ones in the mix

packrat
cool post i am gonna try that, i was planning on freezing my creek chubs in water, you think that will keep them intact? If you try to freeze whole chubs in water I think they would go mushy after awhile when they thaw out. That saltie recipe can be adjusted to handle larger minnows as well.
