minnow killer

Recommended Posts

went out early today for perch, lines down by 7, first at the launch.

straight south from the canal, 65 feet. got alot of jumbo's and nothing smaller than 10"

total count 65 fish for 2 of us. we ran out of minnows at 9 and went back in for more, SOLD OUT!

so i went with plastics, and got only 6 more. Better go catch my own minners.

Nice score.

So what do you do with 65 fish on the boat?

HUGE Livewell? Stringer? Cooler full of ice?

Seeing as we are not allowed to transport live game fish what the best way to get them home for cleaning in good condition?

How long does it take to fillet them :roflblack:

12.6 seconds ....if you gut ,chop off the head & drop into blender ........

52.5 seconds (average) for a full side fillet job with a good sharp knife .....

41.9 seconds doing as above with electric knife .......might lose a finger or two...... :roflblack:

it took around an hour and a half to filet them all, 2 guys, i'm pretty quick, but my buddy is a hacker, he saws them like wood.

ya there was alot of boats today. probably 15 - 20 in the area, visibility was not so good to the east, couldnt see pt abino

I think they stopped chargin at the ramp for the year, the guy was not there today, but the weeds in the launch are thick thick.

Hey Andy, I just hope that these waves subside a little before morning. It will be definitely better later in the day but these freakin waves are travelling 100 miles, it's gonna take a little while till they stop with the different wind direction. It will all depend on what time the wind switches over, it should be navigable in the morning although not very pleasant :roflblack:
