weedliner Posted February 21, 2011 Report Share Posted February 21, 2011 Denis,Iv,e used this float method before works really good especially when your rod is not senitive enough.I use the thinest float and add some weight so the float just touches the surface.This helps out when the fish are mouthing the bait. marktheperchman Posted February 21, 2011 Report Share Posted February 21, 2011 i like to use floats in the spring for perch but on the ice i swear by my microlite with two pound test. sometimes the perch just mouth the minnow and then spit it back out.you cant see that with a bobber.with the microlite you can see the minnow swimming even at fifty or sixty feet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
