Carp Fishing In Toronto

UPDATE to POST: changed some details, was worried to many people with WHITE BUCKETS would be heading out to DRAIN the population dry.

Never to be judgemental, but I'm getting sick of seeing people keep entire lines, pails of fish!

Like you need them to feed your family?

100% Catch and Release is the way to go.

Keeping one or two every now and then is okay.

Got off early this afternoon.

Decided to head out for some Carp.

Nice day, warm with light wind.

I was feeling good about everything!

:blahblah1:

Was fortunate enough to go: 3 for 6

1 tie off broke

1 stripped my entire spool

1 the Hook bent

Let them all go to enjoy another day!

:thx:

B) Great report, and nice pictures....I've always wanted to try fishing the Toronto Islands......Maybe this summer........

The place gets really crowded on summer weekends.

Those are some nice fish.

Nice going. Toronto Island is a great place for early season carp!

Theres also something else LURKING in the WATERS:

Thought I had a log, then a bucket, and finally: OMG Snapping Turtle!

Was scared trying to get the stinger hook out of the corner of his mouth.

He was trying to bite me, and hissing like crazy.

Clipped the hook out (with all my fingures left) and let him crawl around for the tourists.

Really freaked the kids out.

got one more large carp as well

  • 1 month later...

You just never know what you'll find in the waters around Toronto harbour.

Yesterday the line up for the Ferry was huge.

Instead of waiting, I just walked the shoreline.

Caught (3) nice ones and lost (2) under the Boardwalk.
