pop-vlado
I'm new to the forum. Props to the kayak fishing section! I've been fishing from the yak for one year now - mostly on the grand river. I'm hoping to explore some other locations this year. Here are some pictures from my past trips. Enjoy! pop-vlado
Welcome & nice pics,Maybe the rumors are true about the grand having walleye.I've tried a few times but came home with the white stripe. There is good walleye fishing between York and Caledonia (from my experience) from April - July. Once it gets too hot, it becomes hard to catch them. The key is to work the minnow lures. It's much easier with the kayak cause you can cover more water. The sizes are mainly "eaters" - it's hard to find bigger ones. I usually release fish but take a few of those eaters home every year - best tasting fish!
