The Whirlpool is unfishable due to huge amounts of locked up shore ice, but the Glen should be good to go today. Conditions are almost too good...super low, clear water. Hooked into my first Lower Niagara musky down at the pool today!! What an adrenaline rush!! Unfortunately, while the giant fish and I were in stalemate, I was broken off by a log (one of the downsides of braid I guess).

Well the perchin' wasn't very good (apparently the bite turned off just before we got there...isn't that how it always goes?). Still managed a few, but after 45 minutes sitting in the direct sunlight, we had to call'er quits and beach it for the rest of the day.
