ogliq2 Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Looks like a Pomeranian, but the eyes seem wrong
Slevin Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 That would be DA wife after I come home from a nite of drinking ???
smerchly Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Lorne , I have never seen anything like that !! For a guess , I'll say it's an albino Badger ......(if it's local) ....or have you been visiting Tasmania lately ?
hammercarp Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 Bill I thought you would use your skills as a taxidermist to figure it out.
smerchly Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Bill I thought you would use your skills as a taxidermist to figure it out. There is a thing called novelty taxidermy where specimens can be "mixed" and a new "creation" is born . Looking closely Lorne, I would guess it's the head of a wolf , dressed over with a deer's tail ......Am I getting warmer ??
hammercarp Posted March 25, 2012 Author Report Posted March 25, 2012 It is actually the result of a terrible accident. A car carrying prize show dogs collided with a deer running right at it. The deer went through the windshield and hit a dog face to face at a combined speed of over 100 miles per hr. This was the result .
smerchly Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Ha ....I thought it might be a dog (never stuffed one) , but I was trying to keep my perspective on wild animals. I suspected it was a deer tail because there's an unnatural opening under the chin . The end result was cleaned up very well & fluffed out nicely . I'm going to have nightmares for a while .....
ogliq2 Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Haha ... were the show dogs Pomeranian s by any chance ??
