cdnvizsla
Been having a blast drifting near the mouth of the Niagara the past few days. Picking up lots of Coho, they arent big 4-7 lbs but on lite line or on the fly they keep you hopping. Water is starting to warm up though so they will be gone soon. 54 degrees today. cdnvizsla
Kayak with a support boat could be done. You are fishing the mouth of the river though and there are strong currents. 2-3 mph pushing straight out into Lake Ontario. The water temp has risen very quickly over the last couple of days. The best day we had out there the surface temp was 52 degrees. Tonight it ranged between 55 and 58 degrees. Looks like the Coho bite will be moving deeper into the lake as they are pushed out by the warm water. Only managed to pick up one tonight, though the Sturgeon jumping show kept it interesting out there. Seems funny seeing a "bottom fish" jumping in 50 to 120 feet of water, but there were a bunch of them.
