Tom S
Just got back in from some fun at a local farm pond. Nothing like tossing out small poppers and getting panfish the size of your hand one after another. The ocassional bass makes for a bit of variation in the fighting style, but it's hard to say who fights better - a large panfish or a small bass. The only popper I had was an olive green spun deerhair popper I had tied to try out the technique last week. I guess I'll have to tie up a bunch more - in brighter colours of course. Icehut
Gotta love panfish and bass on top. I hate spinning deer hair; have gone over to corks and the excellent pre-cut hard foam popper heads. Very easy ties, just some waiting for multiple coats of nail polish to dry.
Horrorshowrot
Are you talking about the pond in thorold? I would have to say the bass. I have seen a tiny bass whack a popper double its size have even seen one whack a huge musky streamerXD
