YakFisher
This will be my first year to fly fish for trout in the tributaries and I am unsure as to when they usually enter the 16&20 mile creeks. Late August, September? Any info? Thanks all

snaggy
Will also be my first year targeting trout on the fly, will be using pink woolybuggers and a purple streamer leech imitation, should that work ?
Snags
Be weary of the seasons ... some areas have extended seasons (such as Port Dalhousie between the shoreline to Lakeport Road) ... and others do not. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/stdprodconsume/groups/lr/@mnr/@letsfish/documents/document/mnr_e001335.pdf
DaveC
they follow the Salmon right? and the Salmon start in September..? Yes they do Bryan...they tend to like water in the 45-58 degree. They could run in late Sept if the water gets cold enough. I find the Salmon are in first, followed by the Browns, and then the Steelhead. Start getting your gear ready....better in the week days when there is less crowd.
