The_Husky_Jerk
Thinking of going down to dunnville area for some chrome on the fly. Has anyone fished there before? Is there an easy access point? Near the dam? Im assuming below the dam will be hotter than above the dam this early in the season. Any thoughts/input? Ironstone_74
I don't Steelhead that far down the Grand but I have heard there are some fish moving up. Never a bad idea to go!
blairwelsh
Below the Dam. I'd personally wait about 2 weeks. A friend of mine was down on Monday, and only ended up with some small bass and Catfish. Just my opinion
The_Husky_Jerk
Ive already heard reports of some in Caledonia. Maybe I will just head there as I already know the area. Never been to dunnville but from pictures it looks too deep to wade.
CLofchik
I think you mean Caledonia, to really get into the chrome at Dunnville you'd need a boat. And it's deep water that wouldn't be the best to flyfish.
roadrunner
Yeah dunville at the dam goes down to about 25-30 feet. Lol i was there last weekend and seen a big steelhead jump infront of my boat.
