YakFisher
So I was at Petes today and heard the guy at the counter talking about how the Niagara parks commission will be building a new attraction in the gorge. A zip line from one side of the whirlpool to the other, which will restrict public access to the left and right sides of the bank. He mentioned that anglers were writing to the commission, protesting this new attraction, and that we should too. I'm not sure of the accuracy of this claim, but I thought I should bring it up. niagarangler89
Here's the article: http://www.niagarafallsreview.ca/2012/09/20/publics-opinion-to-be-considered-with-zip-line-idea They claim that, "In both cases, the zip lines would be erected in such a way not to impede the enjoyment of others," but who knows? Andrew30
For some reason it wouldn't surprise me lol. They like to close all good fishing spots.
toaster
i personally doubt it would go at thompson point. how would people be brought out of the gorge? the gorge is a pretty unique ecosysytem so any elevator system would be disruptive. i would imagine any environmental assessments would highlight this. then again money talks...
