I fished the Margaree River with no luck, however the water is a natural tea stained colour, and to say is crystal clear does not do it justice. Tons of salmon in the river, however water levels were not ideal, and was unable to even turn a fish. Second day, my guide and I left the Margaree Forkes in pursuit for the highlands, and fished wild brook trout in the mountain creeks. Landed my limit in nearly 2 hours, and boy are those guys fun. Tried my luck for Mackerel in the Halifax Harbour with no luck but seen a few caught. For anyone looking for a guide on the Margaree, your guy is Albert Jenkins. He is in his 60's and fished the river since he was a boy. Truly awe struck watching him fly cast. I will post pictures the moment I figure out how too!
