fuillihc
I have a pond on my property that was stocked with largemouth bass. Over the years sunfish and bowfin started to appear in the pond ( probably from fish eggs stuck to cranes, herons and ducks). My kids were fishing the pond and usually they real in the typical bluegill and pumpkinseed but the past two years they've been catching something that looks a little different. It has a similar body type, perhaps more slender but the colour is different and the mouth is way bigger. The fish is also much more aggressive. I think it might be a warmouth. What do you guys think? Mystery fish on left and pumpkinseed on right Pumpkinseed mouth Other fish(warmouth?)

fuillihc
Knowing what the fish looks like in person and looking at pictures on the web Spiro was right. It's a green sunfish. Now I need to get rid of them before they take over the whole pond.
