smerchly
I believe this is worth passing on to as many people as possible . Tossing your still half charged 9 volt smoke detector or CO detectors into a bag , bin or can etc. can cause a fire . This man gives some great advice after his house burned up from a fire in the garage which contained batteries he was collecting for proper disposal . He made a web site to educate kids , but adults need to watch these videos too . First video is about batteries and the next three show a lot of good tips to prevent or escape fires . Sit down with your kids for 30 minutes and watch this .....it may save their lives as well as your own . Send to your friends too . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSJH21WmALc
captnn
Batteries get pretty hot. Had loose 9 volt batteries in my pocket and when the wrong ends touched they got pretty hot to touch. Could feel the heat. Be careful and dispose them properly.
