fishnhunt Posted April 23, 2014 Report Share Posted April 23, 2014 Didn't mean to get anyone excited..but I've been talking to a few guys..and been checking the conditions..and apparently there's been NO run yet (in the lower Niagara)..probably be a late start due to water temps..I can remember them being as late as "Mothers Day" some years..but that was quite a few years ago..then again..we haven"t had winter and spring conditions like this in quite a few years..they're coming! just a matter of time.. rhomerj Posted May 3, 2014 Report Share Posted May 3, 2014 I have been there every 3-4 days for the last couple of weeks, last time being Wednesday night. Then there was only one other that put a net in the water and gave up rather quickly as well. I heard the temp was up over 40º on the 28th, was up that night with about a half-dozen vehicles there and people dipping but everyone going home hungry.
