smerchly
I have three rain barrels I use to water plants and 4 water cans . The barrels have screen tops to keep debris and bugs out , like mosquitoes . I keep the 4 water cans filled & ready to use daily ....unless it rains . One water can is larger (2 gal) & hasn't been used for a while like a week or more . Today I took a small amount of water from it into a small pail & saw a few "squiggly" things .....mosquito larvae ! I dumped the rest into a 5 gal pail & saw dozens of these creatures in the water . They were promptly dumped into the toilet to feed the fish at Port Dalhousie ! Just a heads up ....check your containers ....we don't need these vampires in the hood . I used to feed my aquarium fresh water fish with these things and they went nuts over them ....gone in 30 seconds !
ron4blues
Yup. Trout like them too. If you can tie flies #28 or smaller you're cooking!
