Steve_Guelph
I just booked two charters on the lower niagara to get some experience with the mighty Niagara. I want to learn the river from a boat before I take my own boat. I am so excited to get back on the water!! I would normally just put the time in but I think a couple of days with an experienced guide could go a long way.
Tyler0420
Good idea I need to do the same. What's the average cost of a 6-8hr day?
Steve_Guelph
It ranges from 350 - 400 for two people. I am doing one charter with just me and another with just 2 people in the boat. I would make sure that the charter company is experienced with the lower and focuses on that river for that particular time of year so they are up on conditions and patterns. That's just my opinion of course.

banker66
I agree it is money well spent. I went with Paul Castellano from Cast Adventures a couple of years ago. I learned more in those 8 hours than I did in all my previous years trying to figure out the Niagara River by myself. Spend the money!!! it comes back to you many times over in knowledge and a great time on the water.
Steve_Guelph
Best money you can spend if your gonna fish there! I agree. Not only for the presentations, drifts, etiquette but When it comes to the lower I think the safety aspect only is worth the money.
