Fly fishing Niagara river

Hey guys looking to get out a few days this summer to fly fish Niagara. Don’t really care what to target but any tips on what I should be casting or a general area I could try? Or if someone would like to meet up and fish together. I’m still a novice fly fisher just a precaution but love to fish and love to learn if anyone is interested.

any sort of streamer pattern has worked well for me in the gorge.  Fly fishing down there is not the easiest thing even for an experienced fly fisherman.  its not too bad if you have a 2 handed spey rod though.  but most of the lower requires heavy sinking lines and sink tips to get the required depth the fish are.  i usually only bring the spey rod down to the river to keep people from setting up too close to me at the pool.  good luck down there.

What set up are you going down with?

 

I knew if I wanted to fly Niagara, it would have to be on the heavy side as you never know what you'll hook into down there.
