genec
Just read about this new invasive species showing up in parts of Ontario, including St. Catherines. They might be a bonus for fishermen as they might be a more active bait to put on a hook. Bill, better start checking all those worms showing up in your back yard!! smerchly
I'll be sure to check for that double collar on them Gene . Our little planet is shrinking as we trade with the world on a daily basis . Over the years were have gotten many 'presents from Asia , like Zebra mussels , beetles , etc etc ,and it has cost us billions in damage , like cutting down all of our ash trees , and I believe it cost us a penny or two to 'control' the various 'flu' bugs they sent us too ... These worms have been around for a long time in the southern USA and are now as far north as Wisconsin so we can expect them here soon enough . Here's some info on them ....apparently , after reading some comments in this video , they have be sold in bait shops in the US..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MceqYpkBYvk&ab_channel=JackofAllClades
genec
They have shown up in several areas of Ontario, starting in 2014 in Windsor - Wheatly, Dundas, St. Catharines and Toronto. Look a lot like ordinary big earthworms, but the collar ring goes all the way around their body.
