I’ve wanted to do this hunt for quite a while, however, i don’t have a bird dog. i realize i’m too late for this year, but i’m wanting to start planning for next year. I’m just wondering if anyone else has real experience with this hunt and wonder if a dogless hunter has any real chance of success. Any real life experience and suggestions would be appreciated! Rippin Posted June 27, 2023 Report Share Posted June 27, 2023 Been going there for over 40 years and wouldn't think of going without a dog unless you just want to get a lot of exercise walking. The birds love to run and without a dog really hard to flush. You might get lucky and flush a couple walking the hedgerows or ditches?
