smerchly
I just updated Google Earth to the lastest version & it is still a few yrs.behind . ...e.g...I zoomed in on the old , now defunct Power Glen School on Pelham rd., and it's still on the map . It was taken downover 3 yrs ago, and a new subdivision exists there now. But it's still an excellent site to check out certain populated places .....Mapquest is my next choice as a road map . They have improved it , made it larger and you can scroll & zoom & print out a map in minutes . The noaa coastwatch is not quite live , but only hours old but the last week is completely obscurred by clouds and you can only zoom in so far as you only spread out the existing pixels . There may be something better out there......I'm waiting
