smerchly Posted January 14, 2005 Report Share Posted January 14, 2005 I have used those spreaders for whitefish in Lake Simcoe . They feed from the bottom and sometimes they would pick up the minnow and the tip-up would go up instead of downward. But we used them in large holes in the ice huts where there was lots of room to pull the fish out without one of the hooks catching under the ice as would happen if you used them in the smaller augered holes. Guest Slyatv Posted January 15, 2005 Report Share Posted January 15, 2005 Yup was fishing one tip up and top hook and One rod for perch today .. I put a hut out off Roaches Point Today . YEs there was enough Ice and no the big lake still is not froze . But its ON THE LAKE 21 ft of water .... And placed there till I move it deeper .
