smerchly
The gobies are getting bigger . They hit like a big perch and put up a good tussle . They are eating lots of zebra mussels and some people have said they help "control " them.....but there's a ton of zebras for every gobie to eat ! I have been thinking the gobies have been dining on the perch and pike fry and have noticed declining numbers in some of our old spots . .....or maybe the pike and perch are eating lots of gobies, thus not biting ! Guest Big Bass Rich
If gobies ever grow to be 6 pounds, I see myself targetting them. lol
Guest cplummer
At my "secret trout spot", I was down there the other day and you wouldn't believe all the BIG gobies poking out amongst the rocks. They were easy to pick out because they were so dark. Biggest was about 8 inches and I caught 6 of them. The little ones were around but tougher to see because they blended so well to the bottom. i thought you just said secret trout spot? seems to me you have your own gobie sweet spot...
