genec
Been frustrated with the bass opener, and so windy I can’t take the boat out to Pt. Abino, or even my yak into the rec canal. Decided after supper tonight to fish the bank of the rec canal for a little while. Only fished for 1/2 hour, but caught a small bass and another a little under 2 Lbs. Got the small bass on a small blade bait, and the bigger one on a small Rapala Husky Jerk. But I watch You Tube videos to keep in shape ..... This hot humid weather is not my forte ! I 12 hours ago, genec said: I can’t take the boat out to Pt. Abino, or even my yak into the rec canal. A good wind should give you a nice trolling speed in the yak Gene ! I have some nice fat worms in the fridge and was wondering about using them at the rec . canal but I remember catching BIG gobies there , over 10 years ago . I suppose the gobies would demolish my worms in seconds , unless I use a harness & spinner . I have been working on my old multi dented /patched /welded aluminum square back freighter canoe for a few days ....ready for the camo job soon.....
