Used them many times in the lower Niagara. Caught mostly Lakers with them. I also made my own from cork and plastic I cut from a bleach bottle.

For several years now some "new Canadians" have been taking every fish they catch. Many are only 3 to 5 inches in length. This is not an exaggeration, you just have to look in their pails to see what they are keeping. The fish don't get a chance to grow...........................Daniel

Back to top please.

Bubba14, you never know what is in the ground under the animal. Could be rock and a ricochet is very possible. The cop has obviously never swung an axe in his life.

I am also involved in a furnace scam with a class action suit since 2020 . I have a code number but never heard anything from them .
After so many scams the 'door knockers' are now banned . I will have to pay much more than the 7 year old furnace is worth to buy it out .
"Private" information will be a thing of the past .....
My Sis in law had to buy out her furnace and a/c when she sold her house. Frikken scammers.

I remember Speckies in the 12 and also there was a stream in St. Davids that had small Specks. What remains of that stream runs through the trailer home park just below Bevan Heights..............................Daniel

Fishing for smelts ar Ramies was always fun and usually productive enough to enjoy them for a dinner or two .
Catching them at Dain City is another 'animal' when they're down 30 feet below the ice .....very light gear needed !
If I hear they are 'running' , I'll give you a shout and meet you out there .
I went by Rameys 2 days ago and it is wide open. Nuttin but water. Might hafta go to Magnetewan with a net at breakup.

No pin, I drill a hole through the cork and glue in a piece of tubing from a spray can. As long as they can spin freely it won't twist yer line.............Daniel
