For some of us out there, it can take a real heavy toll on our bodies. Try and stay cool. More importantly, keep pounding back the water. Cooler weather can't be too far away. Guest Rockfish Posted August 7, 2007 Report Share Posted August 7, 2007 We've surprisingly been late for a heat wave this Summer ( 3 consec days of high temps and humidity) which was last week. Also saw on the news that more people die around the world from high temps than freezing temps. I'm looking forward to the Fall weather as long as the snow stays away till X-mas. That means I MAY have to cut my grass. Seriously, the heat is much more dangerous than the cold. Last week was a dilly and as much as I will take summer over winter any day, even that steambath was too much for me - I retreated to somewhere cool. smerchly Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 I was hoping for a lot more rain ......the garden is still too dry and I water the back yard daily to keep the dewies fat .The 3 rain barrels received only about 2" of water so far ......Lets hope the rain man dances tonight ! jwl Posted August 8, 2007 Report Share Posted August 8, 2007 personally' I love the summer for activities like going to my trailer and goofing off with my kids..and of course,fishing, but I can't wait until winter..I will be done the current rollout I have for work in like 4-5 weeks...then my wife's work will slow down a bit too..so after the kids go back to school will leave me more time for ...I have an upcoming project for a bunch of work at all the Timmy's in Southern Ontario..but that will only trickle in over the next few months....so will finally be able to take a few people up on thier invites for some fishin on the big pond E & O....then catch the fall feedbag for many fishin ops around here as well as my camp, then bring on the winter...nothin like bundling up and going on a big trout adventure.....and also gonna catch up on getting my bigger boat out a bunch of times too...the hot weather is over rated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
