It looks like you have a lot of work to do on the plane ......it must be very costly !! My Dad loved small airplanes like the Piper Cub & bi-planes etc. He would love to see your project ! Always interesting to see what guys are up to besides fishing. The history of your project plane would capture the interest of many. How about an update once in a while with pics and a bit of the story on the old gal? Continue to enjoy your time with us and have more great fishing experiences. hawk-eye Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Share Posted March 20, 2008 Hey guys That bird is a 1937 lockheed L12 electra junior. Deliverd in 1937 to Continental airlines. Sold to Noble drilling (Texaco) in 1938 Bought By the RCAF in the 40s used as personal transport for high ranking military officers. Then bought in the 50s buy a man in north carolina who has owned it till last year. Its quit an extensive project thats goin to take quit a while.
