larry b
cool,I've been using tube jigs with success but getting hits on cranks is cool. happens so sudden it makes those pannies more fun
bigdog
Cranks are fun, but try super small jerk baits...now thats a total blast. Rapala F03 Rapala CDO1/3/5 Yo-Zuri Pin's Minnow 2" (Pete's used to have them...get the light purple top with silver body and change the trebles...the ones they come with are to light. If you change to a size bigger, the lure will sink very slow. Add a small split shot or bull shot to the line to get a little deeper. These will also kill largies and smallies in ponds and streams or heavily pressured waters!) Not sure what line size you are using, but I have had the best success with 2 and 4 lb test. It lets the bait get a bit deeper...just adjust drag accordingly!
