hammercarp
I went out this morning to take part in a North America wide event. The Carp Angler's Group First Fishing Follie. This event had over 100 carp anglers across the continent registered to participate. The morning started beautiful but got nasty in the early afternoon. I had a great time though. One 13 lb'r came to the net.

hammercarp
All over North America. You fished were ever you wanted. This is a fun event , not a serious competition. There are some rules and different categories. You can start at 12:01 am.

You'll have to wait another 364 days. . But not to worry. There will be carp fishing events this year.
smerchly
Nice going Lorne ! It was nice this morning but it sure started to blow today . You say to wait till next year at this time ? You could have 12" of ice there sometimes ? What happens then ?

smerchly
Ah , the way you are hugging that carp , the water must be very warm !
hammercarp
Bill . You can get carp through the ice. It does happen. One of the places I'd like to try is the north shore of Martindale pond.Of course, I doubt that will happen this year.
