Gerritt Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 http://www.buffalonews.com/city/communities/southern-ontario/article834044.ece Vehicle containing two bodies pulled from river A vehicle containing two bodies was pulled from the Niagara River in Fort Erie today, one day after it apparently missed a stop sign and hit a boat ramp before entering the river, police said. Niagara Regional Police were called to the Niagara River Parkway at Netherby Road about 7:30 a.m. Saturday by a passer-by who reported that the boat ramp there had been severly damaged. Responding officers theorized the vehicle had run through the stop sign, hit the ramp and entered the river. Authorities then called in the police dive and marine units, which were assisted by the Erie County Sheriff's Office helicopter. The vehicle was located in water a little over 200 yards north of the boat dock around 5 p.m. Saturday. It was recovered today with the two bodies inside. Police did not release any information about the victims pending notification of relatives. The investigation is continuing and police ask anyone with information about the incident to call them at (905) 688-4111, ext. 5500. rbaldwin@buffnews.com

smerchly Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 This could be anything from DUI , texting to suicide .......not a way nice to end ones life.......
AbbysDad Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 There is a pretty decent curve you have to contend with just before the Niagara Parkway on Netherby. Not sure how you could get up to and maintain a high rate of speed...at least enough to do the damage reported and to put a car 200 yards out.
Horrorshowrot Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 I heard about this. It kind of strikes me as odd....
